A little about Sønderballe Strand Camping

Welcome to our small oasis here at Genner Bay / Sønderballe Beach.
Here are all opportunities to experience, swim, hike, bike, sail, fish or simply just relax.
The campsite is partial built in terraces, and many pitches have a magnificent view of the bay or Hopsø.

In the bay there is always a huge activity of small fishing boats and sailboats and there is also a small child-friendly beach with a blue flag quite close to the campsite.

Just outside Genner Bay is Barsø which can be visited by own boat or by ferry, and inside the bay is Kalvø with museum and small marina. A walk around the island is highly recommended.

The campsite is located with approx. 13 km distance to the market towns Haderslev and Aabenraa, with lots of historic streets and buildings, shopping opportunities and cozy cafes and restaurants and there is only 40 km to the border shops and cozy Flensburg.
A few meters from the square there are good bus connections to Haderslev and Aabenraa.

Freshly baked breakfast (bake-off) can be ordered and picked up at reception. The kiosk has ice cream, chips, sweets and a small selection of groceries, just the most necessary.
If we are not at the reception, you can call between 08.00 and 21.00 on the door phone or by phone + 45 74 69 89 33 , we are usually always close by. We are closed for dinner from 12.00 – 14.30.

Mågen Åge

Mågen Åge For many years we as a family have always talked about “Mågen Åge with the yellow legs”. None of us really know why. This has just always been the case.
So when we first saw Sønderballe Strand Camping, we knew it was a sign. It was this place we were supposed to have. The place with “Mågen Åge with the yellow legs”.
Mågen Åge means something special to us and has become our happiness mascot. He is the first to welcome you to our campsite.
The children have the opportunity to color, many nice drawings with him.
In addition, you can experience him in different situations around the site.

Mågen Åge is equal to a holiday at Sønderballe Strand Camping.
